Entry guidance and attendance calendar

No previous computer experience is required. Tell Admissions about any learning or accessibility support you need.

Attendance: three days a week in normal teaching weeks, three hours per session, in Lab B. Maximum 20 students in this class. Follow the dated calendar below rather than attending on closure days.

ATTENDANCE CALENDAR — 36 sessions / 108 scheduled hours (including any in-session breaks)
October 2026: 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, 30.
November 2026: 2, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27.
December 2026: 2, 4, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18.
January 2027: 4, 6, 8, 11.

CLOSURES & COMPLETION
No teaching on 5 November (Thanksgiving) or 30 November (planned observance of Tubman Birthday; the specific 2026 Liberian proclamation is pending). Campus year-end break: 21 December 2026–3 January 2027 inclusive. This is an institutional break and includes Christmas and New Year. Any official calendar changes will be announced. Final replacement session: 11 January 2027 at the usual time and lab.

Equipment and software

Notebook and guided campus computer practice with files, email and a web browser. Admissions will confirm device access, account setup and any internet or software costs before enrolment.
