Careers & online learning privacy

How SIT handles recruitment enquiries and the online learning hub.

Who handles your information

SIT Learning is part of SIT Technology Limited, UK company number 12901045. Contact us through the published SIT contact channels about access, correction, withdrawal or deletion.

Applications and course enquiries

We collect your contact details, selected role or course, location, availability and the experience you choose to provide. Online course enquiries also include your time zone, computer access and adult confirmation. Where present, campaign labels tell us how people found the form. We use this to review and respond to your request, and it is held in the private SIT staff inbox.

Do not include identity documents, bank information, health details or private information about other people. A public portfolio link and a CV are optional for Monrovia job applications. You may upload one PDF or DOCX CV up to 2 MB. Your CV is stored privately with your application and can be downloaded by authorised staff handling recruitment; it is not published in the website Media Library or attached to notification emails. Please leave out a full home address, date of birth, identity documents and referees’ personal contact details. Additional references are requested only when needed through an agreed private route.

Who can see it

Authorised SIT staff handle enquiries. Online instructors see the roster, attendance, submitted work and learning progress for their assigned cohorts. Students see their own learning information. These forms do not automatically subscribe you to marketing or transfer your submission into Zoho CRM.

Accounts, payments and learning records

For confirmed offers, SIT staff arrange a learning account. The hub stores enrolment status, operational payment or approval references, attendance and audit history. It also stores assignment answers and uploaded documents, submission attempts, tutor reviews and scores, student-reported practice completion, course announcements, saved learning drafts, quiz answers and scores, private tutor questions and replies, notification preferences/read status, catch-up explanations and review history, completion requirements, and certificate issue or withdrawal records. Certificates retain a snapshot of the evidence approved by the instructor. They are available through the private learning account and are not published in a public certificate directory. Quiz scores are calculated from the saved answer key; a quiz pass is separate from overall course completion. Assignment files are private and available only to the submitting student while they have learning access, their assigned instructor and authorised administrators. They are not published in the Media Library or sent to AI tools. Card details are entered with the payment provider, not in the SIT enquiry form. Payment status is checked by authorised staff before learning access is granted.

Course emails

When course reminders are enabled, we use your account email address to send enrolment, timetable, assignment and tutor-update notices through the configured mail service. These emails link to the private hub; they do not contain grades, submissions or meeting links. Your chosen email categories are stored with your course account. Administrators can see queue status and mail-service acceptance references; acceptance does not prove delivery. Finished queue records are eligible for scheduled removal 180 days after the reminder expires. Email preferences can be changed in your dashboard, separately from marketing choices.

Live sessions and recordings

The initial hub opens classes in Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Those providers process meeting information under their own terms and privacy policies. SIT confirms recording arrangements before booking and gives notice before a session is recorded. Recordings must be restricted to authorised recipients at the provider, not made publicly accessible. Access periods are shown in your cohort. Speak to SIT before class if you need an alternative to appearing in a recording.

Retention and your choices

We keep information while handling the request and for the relevant recruitment, course, accounting or dispute needs. Staff review closed enquiries and recruitment CVs for removal when no longer needed. Permanently deleting an application also removes its stored CV. Ask us for the retention arrangements that apply to your case, or to correct or delete information. Some financial or dispute records may need to be retained. Separate consent is needed for optional future marketing.

Using AI in training

Exercises use sample or fictional data. Do not upload private learner, employer or customer information to AI tools. Instructors should explain the tools used, their limitations and any account or software requirements before enrolment.
